To go to the next or previous day, week, or month, use the Forward or Back button at the bottom of the iCal window.

To go to a specific date, click that date in the mini-month calendar in the lower-left corner of the iCal window (or, choose View > "Go to Date."). If you don't see a mini-month calendar, click the mini-month button in the bottom-left corner of the iCal window.

To see the next or previous month in the mini-month calendar, click the up or down arrow above the mini-month calendar (shown below).

To go to today's date, click the diamond button above the mini-month calendar (shown below).

To switch to Day view from Month view, double-click the date (the number of the day) in Month view to go to that day.

To switch from Week view to Day view, double-click the date at the top of the main calendar view.
