iCal Icon    Customizing your published calendar

You can choose to show or hide the event subject, notes, alarms, or tasks on the published version of a calendar.

You might want to do this, for example, to publish a calendar that doesn't show any specific information aside from when you're busy, so others will know not to invite you to events during your busy times.

1.

In the Calendars list, select a calendar that you've published (with the broadcast icon to the right).

2.

Click the Info button in the bottom-right corner of the iCal window to open the Info drawer.

3.

Click to put a checkmark beside any of the items you want to publish on the Internet, or remove the checkmark beside items you don't want to publish.

For example, if you want your published calendar to show when you are busy, but not to reveal the subjects or notes for any of your events, make sure there is no checkmark beside the "subjects and notes" checkbox. If you use more than one calendar for different aspects of your life (e.g., work and home), you may want to group those calendars together, and then publish the group without the additional information.
